Global missions: Spiritual gifts to serve God
Today, we shall consider spiritual gifts to serve God in global missions.
Text Romans 12:3-9; 1 Cor 12:4-11
God wants the gospel of his kingdom to reach the ends of the world (Genesis 12:3; Matt 24:14). In the gospel, people receive forgiveness, healing, deliverance, hope, love, and eternal life; they become members of God’s kingdom.
God is happy when we are part of this great commission; He blesses us (John 5:19-20; Prov 16:7) However, when you ignore what God wants you to do (e.g., David and Bersheeba affair, 2 Sam.11-12), you become weak, and unuseful to His kingdom, unless you repent.
Spiritual gifts are gifts God gives to born-again believers for service in His kingdom.
