Standard problems of life and the solutions God provides (understanding divine order)

Text 1 Peter 5:7-11; Ecclesiates 9:1-3; 1 Cor 7:25-28

Introduction: We shall consider common problems of life and the solution God provides

1. Marriage and family life
   Problems: Children: disobedience, growth issues. Husbands: ungodly, irresponsible, insensitive, womanisers.
   Wives: disrespectful, denying husbands sex, manipulators, controlling
   Solution: the man loves, the woman submits, the children are trained godly (Eph 5:21-6:4)

2. Salvation of the human soul
   Problems: the right way of salvation, assurance of salvation, backsliding,
   Solution: Faith in Jesus, repentance, baptism, and living as a child of God (Acts 2:36-47).

3. Financial problems
   Problem: how to earn money, spending wisely, greediness, and the fear of losing money.
   Solution: You cannot serve God and money; serve God and handle money according to God’s word, not according to how money (mammon) wants you to use it (Luke 16:9-13).

4. Purpose and meaning of life
   Problem: wasting time in life, what to do in life, hopelessness
   Solution: Seek God’s kingdom first, and the rest shall be added (Matthew 6:19-33)

5. Sickness and health
   Problem: sickness that makes you vulnerable and incapacitated, sickness unto death, old age, dying in sin.
   Solutions: confession, repentance, living holy (well) ( James 5:14-16; Psalm 34:12-13)

6. Spiritual attacks
   Problem: temptation, manipulation, intimidation- to sin against the Almighty God
   Solution: Dwell in the secret place of God (James 4:7; Psalm 91;110:1; Matt: 10:26-31; John 10:28-29
