The birth of Christ: A mission of God to save and make the world righteous

To save the world from sin and its consequences and to make it a righteous place is at the heart of what God is doing. The coming of Jesus is part of this great salvation plan.

Text Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 1:18-23

The promise of the coming of the Messiah

The promise came in the midst of a crisis: humanity had sinned against God (Gen 3:15). The prophets repeated the coming of the Messiah in times of crises (e.g, Isaiah 9.1;6-7) Concerning Jesus’ second coming, He says, When you see and hear about crises of all kinds, know that your redemption is near (Luke 21:28).

The genealogy of Jesus (Matt 1:1-17).

These are the popular people from the bloodline of Jesus. These are men and women who obeyed God and lived by faith in God (e.g., Matthew 12:48-40).

How the birth of Jesus happened (Gal 4:4)

The good news by the angel Gabriel to Mary-she believed (Luke 1:26-38). The good news by the angel Gabriel to Joseph, he believed (Matt 1:18-23). No place for the king in his world to be born (Luke 2:4-6). Wise men came to worship the baby Jesus ( Matt 2:1-12). Herod’s wickedness and God’s judgment against him (Matt 2:13-16; 19-20)

The purpose of Jesus's coming to this world

(Matthew 1; Luke 24:45-47; John 20;31-32)

The case for Christmas:

Celebrating the birth of Jesus at Christmas replaces the celebration of an ancient god. This is consistent with God’s word (e.g., Judges 6:24-25), which teaches that God alone is to be worshipped; worshipping or celebrating any other god or idol is a sin (John 4:23-24; Rev 14:6-7). Do you have any idol that needs replacing with the worship of God? Go home and celebrate Jesus!

Jubilee Charity work and food bank (A transformative Christian service)

This service pleases God and will bring blessings upon the church and many people. As Peter experienced (Luke 5:1-11), through this service, many people will receive help and be saved.

However, some people will also abuse the service (e.g., John 6). Following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, we hope to offer transformative Christian services. We therefore pray to God for more grace and love to endure to the end. The food bank is open on Saturdays from 2-4 pm. We also offer an emergency service.
