The fear of God and the benefits: An Endtime message to everyone
Matthew 10:28-31 ; Revelation 14:6-7
The fear of God is often missing today, but the Fear of God has many benefits. Therefore, the fear of God is one of the messages people must hear.
Sadly, people have a fear of other things: Satan, poverty, sickness, death, losing a job, but no fear of God. Scripture tells us that it is God we must fear!
What is the fear of God? Seeing God as the only law giver, who is able to save and destroy (James 4:12).
Should people fear God? Jesus says, ‘Yes’ (Matthew 10:28-31).
The benefits of the fear of God
Those who fear God avoid sinning; for Moses tells us that God brings fearful events upon us so that we will not sin (e.g., Exodus 20:18-20).
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Prov. 9:10-11); the fear of God saved Joseph and his dreams (Genesis 39:9). Our young people must be taught to fear God.
The fear of God in your life is a good sign that you are not hardened in sin (Genesis 3:9-13); The absence of the fear of God is a sign that you have become hardened in sin and rebelliousness; you will fight God, a sign that you will die in your sins (e.g., Luke 23:39-43; Rev 16:9-11; Exodus 7:1-5).
Those who are afraid of God are not afraid of other things (Isaiah 8:11-13)
How to fear God
Fear of God should lead to the worship of God (an end-time message, Revelation 14:6-7).
Thus, those who fear God don’t worship idols, demons, spirits, etc..
The fear of God and obeying Him are the basic duties of everyone (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)
Perfect love for God drives away fear (1 John 4:16-18).
